I never set out to be a publisher. I fell into it, almost by accident—saying “yes” when the opportunity knocked, and discovering along the way that publishing was simply another expression of the deeper work I’d been doing for years.

Since 2004, I’ve published nearly 700 books (mostly for women, and a handful of fabulous men). Along the way, my imprint name has changed as I grew and evolved. But now, as I enter this next chapter of my business and life, I wanted a name that fully reflects all of who I am and what I stand for—not just in publishing, but in my lifelong devotion to leading, coaching and guiding women to step into their full authentic expression and power.

That’s why I chose Seshat Press, named after the Egyptian goddess of writing, knowledge, and wisdom. Her essence mirrors the heart of my work: sacred, intentional, guided by feminine principles, and deeply transformational.

Because long before I published my first book in 2004, I was gathering women. I taught aerobics in my all-women’s dorm in college. I rallied two women to move 3,000 miles with me to San Diego on a leap of faith. I was a personal trainer in an all-women’s gym, the founder of the Network for Empowering Women, co-founder of Vision Weekend for Women and facilitator of Goddess Retreats and Women’s Writing Retreats.

Publishing simply became the next extension of what I was put on Earth to do—help women reclaim their truth, share their brilliance, and live her best and most authentic life.

Seshat Press is my homecoming. A final imprint, and a forever name—rooted in feminine energy – and the legacy of truth-telling, wisdom-sharing, and evolving into one’s highest expression.

Here, we honor the sacred stories that are ready to be told—by women and some incredible men who join us in walking this publishing path with depth, purpose, and heart.
